While most people are under the impression that unskilled labor typically is worth little to nothing, there actually are several jobs that pay high wages, even if you don’t have a college degree. Here’s a look at some of the best jobs out there where you can start making money now, regardless of your education. For our list we chose only jobs that start at more than $20 per hour and that usually offer on-the job training.

Top 50 Occupations

If you're thinking about what you want to be when you grow up or switching careers then you need to know this: Related Occupations and Their Projected 10 Year Growth

The Top 50 Occupations were selected in the following way:

A "Top 50 rating" was created by multiplying the Projected Need for Employees times the Median Hourly Wage.

Occupations whose Median Wage is less than $20/hr were eliminated.

Of the remaining occupations, only the top 50 were selected.

Arizona adds 121,200 nonfarm payroll jobs in the last twelve months bringing the growth rate to 4.73 percent.

Facts about the U.S. job market

1. There are about 7 million employers in the United States with 147 million people on the payroll.

2. On average, 5.5 million job openings become available every year.

3. It is estimated that 80 percent of the workforce got their jobs through employee referrals (networking).

Lowes Begins Hiring for Sierra Vista Store

Lowes is starting the process of selecting associates for its new store in Sierra Vista scheduled to open in February. Ken Staley, the store manager, expects the Sierra Vista store positions to be posted on the Lowes website any day now and hiring to begin by December 1st.
